Pamela's New
Adventure
(At the
Central Perk)
One day I was sitting in my apartment
writing another one of my brilliant stories when I saw a couple of people
outside the window of the apartment building in New York. I walked downstairs to check my mail and this
guy saw me. He walked in with his
friends, walked up to me and asked if I wanted to go out with him and his
friends to see a movie. "I'd love
to go out with you." I said, "But…" I started to say. "Great. I'll pick you up around eight
tonight." He turned to leave but he
turned back around and said, "but what?" "What's your name? My name is
Joey." He said, "And this is Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, Chandler and
Ross." He said.
"I'm
Pamela." I said, "It was nice meeting you." "Hey, Pamela." Joey called. "Yeah?" I said. "I was just wondering if I could walk up
to your apartment with you." Joey offered.
"Sure." I told Joey as I smiled. We walked up to the elevator and there was
this note. The note said: "out of order: please use the stairs". "Great!" I thought as we walked up
four flights of stairs to my apartment.
Joey said that he lived on the same floor as me. I unlocked the door, put my mail and keys on
the table. Then went to the answering
machine to check my messages--I pressed play.
There were about five messages from Jason and about a dozen from Joe (McIntyre). There were one call from my
mom and one call from my sister -- I think because mom and dad's line was
busy. "Why the heck would my sister
want to call me?" I said thinking out loud. "I don't know, Pamela." Joey said
sweetly. The call that was from Jason,
he was asking me to take him back while the call from Joe -- he was asking if
I'd dump Jason and go out with him. My
mom was just calling to see how things are going. "Things are going really well -- better
than expected." I thought to myself as I sighed. "What's wrong, Pamela?" Joey asked. "Um…nothing." I said, "but
I'll tell you one day. I promise."
"Well do you want to go out with me tonight?" I asked
Joey. "Ok, I'll pick you up around
eight then." Joey said as he smiled at me.
Then he tried to kiss me and I backed away. "What's wrong, Pamela?" Joey asked
concerned. "Nothing. I just want to
take it slow." I told Joey.
"Ok. I can go slow for you." Joey told me. "Can I get a hug?" Joey
asked. "Sure." I said extending arms out to him and hugged
me. That's when Phoebe walked up to my
apartment with Rachel and Monica. Joey
and I stared at his friends in awe.
Rachel was the first to speak.
"You are too nice. What's your name?" she asked. "I'm Pamela. Nice to meet you,
Rachel." "Well I've got to
go now -- I'll see you tonight, ok sweetie?" Joey said as he kissed me in
front of friends, Chandler and Ross who just walked up. They walked into Joey's apartment. As Ross was closing the door, I heard him
say, "You can do better than her." Ross said looking out the door. I slammed my door, leaned against it and
cried. Monica then ran out passed Ross
to see if I was ok. She knocked on the
door. "Are you ok?" Monica
asked. I opened the door, hurt by what
Ross had said about me. "Don't pay
any attention to my brother. He was once dropped on his head at birth."
Monica joked. We both laugh. Then Ross comes over. At first I didn't look
at him. Then when I finally looked at
Ross, I asked why he said that to Joey.
Monica replied and said, "Don't listen to Ross. He has trouble
thinking." She joked again.
"I do not, Monica."
Ross yelled kicking her a$$.
"OMG!" I yelled. Joey
rushed over and asked what all the yelling and the a$$ kicking was for. Joey and Chandler tried to get Ross to stop
but it was useless. Ross just began to
kick Joey's a$$. "Please just stop,
Ross." I begged. Then all of a
sudden Jordan walked up and wondered what was going on. "OMG, Jordan! This guy named Ross won't
stop putting me down." I told Jordan.
Jordan just looked at me like "what am I supposed to do about
it?" and then Jordan gawked at
me. "Ok, fine, Jordan have it your
way, you stubborn a$$." I joked.
"Remember all the times I stuck up for you?" I reminded
him. "Oh yeah." Jordan said,
"Thanks." "Now get your
cutebutt over here and start kicking Ross's a$$." I joked again. Then Jordan's face began to turn bright red,
as he became embarrassed. The more
embarrassed he got, the brighter his face.
After the fight was over, everyone went
to change clothes and get ready for their dates that night. At about eight, Joey came to my
apartment. We went to dinner and then
after that we went see a movie. At
around eleven, Joey and I went to the central perk. It's a popular hangout where Joey, Monica,
Ross, Phoebe and Rachel hangout after work.
Christina and Joe walked into the
Central Perk and sat down in a nearby booth.
I looked down and silently cried.
Joey looked at me and noticed right away that something was wrong. Joey put an arm around me and kissed me. That's when Joe and Christina walked over to
us. "Why haven't you returned my
phone calls." Joe asked, "I thought you didn't love me anymore so I
moved on with someone else." Joe told me.
"And he moved on with me." Christina added rubbing it in my
face.
**Then I imagined throwing a
crème pie in Christina’s face**
"So
what's up, Pamela?" she asked me.
I
wouldn't respond. It was like I was in some kind of trance.
"Pamela
Ann!" Christina screamed.
"What?"
I said almost in a yelling tone.
"Are
you ok, Pamela?" Christina asked.
"Yeah,
I'm fine." I said.
"You
sure?" Christina asked tilting her head sideways.
"I
thought you were mad at me." Christina told me.
"Well,
I was mad at you. But I could never stay mad at you." I told her.
"I'm
just happy I'm with the most hottest guy in the world, Joe McIntyre."
Christina announced. Joe looked over
at me and smiled. In turn Joey (not Mcintyre) looked at me and wondered
if I once dated Joe McIntyre before him.
Joe and Christina sat down in me and
Joey's booth. "So, Joey -- what
kind of work do you do?" Christina
and Joe asked at the same time. They
both laugh. Joey replied, "I'm an
actor on the soap opera Days of Our Lives." "Really? That's cool." Christina
said. Then Joe got up and motioned for
me to come with him outside. Joe
whispered, "I need to talk to you."
Christina was just a little jealous that Joe might still be in love with
me.
Once Joe and I were outside, Joe said,
"Do you still love me?"
"Of course I do." I said hugging him. "I just thought you were mad at me
because you haven't answered any of my calls." Joe told me. "I could never be mad at you, Joe."
I told him. Just as Christina walked
outside of the Central Perk, she overheard Joe asking me to give him a second
chance with him. Joe and I looked at Christina
who had just run back inside. Joe and I
ran back inside. Joe said, "I like
you, Christina." "But…."
Christina said. Joe began to explain
that he was not Christina’s type and that Pamela was the one he really loves.
